  • Does it affect my gameplay?

Hi all, i have a PowerGlide Senator 3/4 cue. Anyone has heard of it? So, my cue makes a tinging sound whenever i use my nails to softly knock on my cue shaft. It does not happen when i do the same to my friend's cue. Is my cue hollow inside and does it affect my game? Thanks alot.

as has been said usually a ting noise is a loose ferrule.
sometimes could be air under a badly fitted tip.
the knocking rattle could be a loose weight in the butt.
        Up the TSF! :snooker:

How you tried the ferrule with a pair of pliers? only way to tell sometimes... I'd probably opt with Dean on this one with the weight in the butt or even a loose joint...

hmm, i'll try to check if it is the ferrule with the pliers. I dont think its a loose joint, there is sound even if i did not join the cue together. Its more of a cue shaft problem.
