  • Foul?

Had a strange incident , down at my clubhouse yesterday. My opponent played the cue ball so hard it spinned on top on the cushion , and stopped there , still on the green , but no top of the cushion baize and off like it usually does? Whats the verdict? Do I play it from there , because tecnically it didnt leave the table or is it a ball in hand?

Sry for spellings , english is not my native language

A ball is considered to be 'forced off the table' if it comes to rest other than on the BED of the table (or in a pocket) and this is a foul. If it is the cue ball, then it would be played from in hand: a colour would be spotted, and a red simply put in a pocket rail.
