I don't see the evidence that he actually did anything wrong. Where is the evidence?

I would'nt be surprised if this kind of thing was rife back in the eighties. Low prize money offered then and bills to pay.

tbf I have at least one bankrupt (more than once) in my close family. I agree that Jogia has been an idiot, and he deserves a ban but you can understand his anger at the difference in his and Higgins' punishment. Interesting that Jogia is threatening to lift the lid on corruption within the game, let's see what happens. I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that many players, at the very least, are guilty of spot fixing. It would be so easy to do, and when some of the lower-ranked players are paid so little, the temptation must be huge.

It should have been a life ban.

Although Higgins got off lightly, every player was warned about what would happen if they were caught out. What an idiot to even try fix a match with all the bookies on red alert and everything being scrutinised

You may be inadvertently right. Maybe his face doesn't fit in with the WPBSA club? Perhaps Higgin's face did, so it's a slap on the wrist for him, despite his offence being many more times worse.
