Looking for something unique if possible ? Budget no problem

Not the trusting type, so from a maker idealy , definatly not an eBay trader !

If your buying new, you can have any design you want to make it unique, but you could be in for a very long wait from most of the top makers

ADR had a really lovely nice Trevor White cue recently, it looked quite unique, quite a few splices & veneers, more expensive than the 1 above, but probably not that dear when you think of the work that went into it.

Maybe drop him a line, to see if he's still got it.

I've looked through the cue pictures thread and to be fair it seems like there is no end of choice but from reading other posts I'm guessing I will have
To wait a long time ? Are there cue makers that can make and supply a high end cue in under 6 months ?
I am willing to forget the splicing and go for something simple but class

If you want something quick you'll probably have to look at the second hand market. (Don't mean e-bay!) There's always cues on sale here from reputable Forum Members. Just post up specifically what you're after and you might be in luck that someone has something close to what you want.

Choosing a cue

Before choosing and buying a new cue for your game, you need to check the specifications and prices of the cues. These two are the important fundamentals for buying a new cue.

As I am wanting a cue for life I'm a little fussy, I have been booking around for a good few months now, but standard cues are a little to short for me, seems like 58" is as far as cue length goes as standard ?
Anyone else found these problems ?

There are a few very good lads' on here that are cue dealers and i am sure that they would have something to suit your needs .

Thanks for your help so far people but it is a new cue I'm after, I've seen the way people treat cues and would not buy secondhand
Especially when every other cue I've seen for sale has only played 4 frames ?

Sorry sanman only just seen this is page 2 and missed your comments, as I just said I'm not interested in anything used, sure there are many good deals to be had but can't help comparing to golf clubs and wonder why so many guys are selling there cues ?

Pretty sure sanman means cues that he has made rather than used ones but could be wrong.

The reason why so many keep changing cues is purely because they are looking for 'the' cue. Each cue reacts differently to each other, once the cue they have ordered has arrived they will try it out a few times and if it's not to their liking they will move it on. I used to do the same with golf clubs, sometimes I would change drivers every few weeks for a different one in the pro shop. Similarly with irons but a little less frequently.
