  • cheddarclassics soon be available again

Cheddar classics originator Dave Johnston Allen has been talked out of his retirement and has agreed to make a small number of individually styled cases each month. Numbers are in the region off fifteen a month only. I envisage a waiting list so contact me on ****************************** for further details about cost, style, material & delivery.

I would be interested in an icon classic but I would appreciate and I think it is better if you can provide the said details here, being this is your first post.

Not saying that you're a crook but stuff like these often happens in online forums, it is better if you provide some credibility or if anyone can vouch for you.

I would not mind a one piece double in black or dark blue leather. With black an white or black n electric blue suede inside, Do they come with corner protectors? Original bages logo's and do you have any examples to show on here and how much are they and how long to make are they please.

Interesting news but complete and utter BS IMO. I refer you to this thread http://www.thesnookerforum.co.uk/boa...heddar-Classic.

Reason being, I placed an order about 6 weeks before they officially went bust for a case and chalk pouch and one or two other little bits. Sent a cheque off for the stuff, was cashed in. Then numerous e-mails kept bouncing back, only to find out they had gone bust. He owed tens of thousands of pounds to many different companies and nobody got a penny out of him.

So, Dave if you are getting back into business, perhaps you could do the honourable thing and pay back your debts or settle your orders you never fulfilled!

I am 42 years old and fairly healthy and would need to employ some help to get 15 cases done in a month !
People don't have a clue about the work involved in making a high end case such as a cheddar classic, if Dave was to start making them again you would be looking at 8 cases a month if you were lucky so I seriously can't imagine there is any truth in this ?

No I knew that years ago. The annoying thing was how they cashed the cheque in knowing full well they weren't going to fulfil any orders. When the website went down and the e-mails kept bouncing back my heart sank as I knew I wouldn't get the money back. Not the first time I've been done like this and probably won't be the last. SO when I see threads like this come up, although its probably bull****, it does annoy me intensely that people can go bust, never pay back their debts, then they are free after a period of time to set up business again, that should not be allowed IMO.

Wasn't someone selling "CC" cases a while ago on ebay, I'm not sure if these were genuine or not.

I'm just wondering if these cases are anything to do with these cases or not.

                Just a thought.

For transparency, they would be the "customised by" range.

                    ?

Frankly I'm amazed at some of the stories of the demise of Cheddar Classics, to my knowledge Dave closed the company down to retire. I met him over ten years ago in Thailand and have always found him a principled and honest individual. To Cueman, I will bring up the matter next time I talk to him. As to the 42 year old who could only make
8 cases, I can only suggest your not as fit as you think.

These cases were recently on sale again by someone who bought the rights to use the name, how is this going to work ??

What sort of price will they be Kevin? Not sure you have heard about the 42 year old guy that commented about making 8 cases, it's Crispian Jones of North Wales Cases. He knows a thing or two about making cue cases.

I think the only way for crispian to prove his fitness, is to make me a post retirement case.

                              I hope this guy's genuine...

Starting to believe that 10k I sent to Henry Ford last month might have been a scam too
