  • I just checked the head to head between Ronnie and the two semifinalists. Ronnie has a handsome lead against both Shaun and Mark.

It's because he's a total and utter twat, he comes out with so much drivel I am surprised any channel employs him - having him as the commentator really spoils it for me.

I think Joe Perry has been excellent.

      • Despite the commentators mention it I didn't spot a kick either, but the in-off was pretty unlucky. They both played very well yesterday. It was especially nice to see Trump coming back after he lost his first lead. At least he is one player, who won't lose confidence after this defeat when meeting O'Sullivan next.

He needs to look back at the match ..........How many times did he go for a rash pot , miss and leave Ronnie nothing . He does get a fair run of the ball during most of his matches .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

            • Hope for Williams win today. I like Murphy, but Mark is just the best player for me .... And promising final that would be too. Looking forward to see MJW lifting the trophy tomorrow

Me too. But I think O'Sullivan will prevail once more.

Yep, and ROS was far from on form, imho.

His elbow and shoulder movement makes for painful viewing, tbh, and must make him very vulnerable under pressure*. Is the stat or Players table of most Deciding Frame Defeats available online, and how high is Trump in it?

*so while looking like choking, strictly speaking it isn't?

                      • Thanks, I'm having trouble tweaking it to get it ordered by percentage as opposed to number of frames played or won.

Trump's 47.46 winning percent is rather poor...... (I took it down to last Decade.)

if you click on the words of the column headings this toggles through the sort; but if you do Percentage you get (to me anyway) false 100% as they could have been results of only having 1 match which went to a decider (won 1 decider out of 1 match)

                          • Yep, that's the problem: if I could limit it to top 64 or 128 then it would be relevant....
