We have tested this with a wide variety of balls and tables all over the world for the last 3 years and still got accurate results - the angle recognition part of the Aim Frame (finding / checking eye alignment being the first), has worked in all situations I have tried it in. If anyone can find a situation or a table where it does not work, then I would be very happy to find out about it.
Any chance of posting your results with different balls ? which ball threw the most etc, kind of waging my own little war against phenolics

BTW I practised aiming a tad thinner today and it didn't work for me at all, guess I know the angles already, should do after thirty odd years of phenolics and all their kicks and little bad contacts. Actually played rather well after junking hitting them thinner, well for half an hour anyway, cleared the line up once, and another with just one miss, well chuffed, but ended the session missing 50%, back to normal, bloody game.

Regardless, clean balls throw much less than dirty ones - how is this to be factored in, if not through experience?

BTW, how can experience help you when playing with dirty balls, how do you know when you're going to get a bad contact, do you count your shots, divide by the kicks and take an average ?

Bad contacts? Good grief man, stop embarrassing yourself. Learn to play a little or educate yourself if you cannot.

As for dr dave, how dare a physics professor spend his own time and money on devising experiments to prove what happens when balls collide, then give it all away for free?

        What a *******, eh?

The snooker world is light years behind pool when it comes to knowledge.

We tested so many variables and decided on impact throw angles based on our findings.
I then field tested it all over the world for the last three years and it works on all variety of table and ball conditions.

As do i. I've had plenty of run-ins with him in the past, and the presentation of his material is a huge turn off for British eyes, but you can't fault his content or methodology.

Snooker REALLY needs a dr dave. Massive opportunity for someone here...

Apologies to bring up what appears to be a slightly out of date thread. I have managed to review all of the Aim Frame videos.
I understand that Nic is trying to show us in part 3 that the "myth" of the ghost ball by showing the various cut shots, with the actual (plant) shot lined up practically at the higher jaw.

All of the videos show shots from above, what if you are cutting from below? Or perhaps aiming at the middle?
