    • Unlucky to Ryan Day, correct me if I'm wrong, but is he still awaiting his first major title?

Tian Pengfai is a very capable player, I think we may just be seeing him at the Crucible come April.

        Ryan....
Not sure what's going on. Stubborn (very stubborn! ) bad luck? Psychological blockage?
Psychological blockage is his weakness He lost the Shanghai Masters after leading 6-2, losing 6-10. He can't perform well under stress. That's why he can't get his title and his ranking dropped a lot this season....

        • Tian is no Maintour player. So im afraid we wont see him at the crucible this season...
perhaps he can earn some merits at ptc / eptc events
          Lucky Dip history:

2010 Sangsom 6 Reds - eliminated at group stage

2010 BTV Cup Beijing - Winner with Tian Pengfei

          • I think Tian should take up the tour though personally. He has already proved to himself he can beat brilliant layers, like he has this week.

As I know there will be a new event called 'Cue School' this season? Maybe he could earn points from there to become a maintour player. PTC/EPTC are too harsh for chinese players. They have to go to England to play or even farther... Tian is a talented player, he should not just stay in China

              • I think Tian would benefit from a move to the UK for a few months to try and pick up some ranking points and kick himself up the rankings.

                    • We must thank HunRon, Kelly (Snoooker_147) and Barcicik for the updates and stats
                      so
                      THANK YOU!

We couldn't have followed this event without your efforts.

Very interesting this last stat> tells the whole story of the final. So Ryan was outplayed quite severely. No question of bad luck -neither of psychological issues. Tian simply played better on the day.

Great shot time for both players.
