  • Fixture and tournements software

    Hi guy/girls

I have been asked to be fixtures secreatary for my local pool league. I just wondered if any one could recommend some software or a website. Which would help me sort out the fixtures and tournements for the season.

    This may help:

This gives half the season's fixtures, i.e. everyone playing everyone else once. For the other half of the season, change the fixtures round (i.e. 1 v. 2 becomes 2 v. 1, etc.).

    (Home team shown first)

    League of 4 teams

    Week 1
    1 v. 4
    2 v. 3
    Week 2
    3 v. 1
    4 v. 2
    Week 3
    1 v. 2
    3 v. 4
    Table reversed for weeks 4-6.

For a league of 3, the team due to play team 4 has a week off.

1 and 4 are never at home at the same time, so a club with more teams than tables can be allotted 1 and 4 and never clash. Likewise 2 and 3.

Teams 1 and 4 are always alternately home and away.

    League of 6 teams

    Week 1
    1 v. 6
    2 v. 3
    4 v. 5
    Week 2
    5 v. 1
    4 v. 2
    6 v. 3
    Week 3
    1 v. 4
    2 v. 6
    3 v. 5
    Week 4
    3 v. 1
    5 v. 2
    6 v. 4
    Week 5
    1 v. 2
    3 v. 4
    5 v. 6
    Table reversed for weeks 6-10.

For a league of 5, the team due to play team 6 has a week off.

1 and 6 are never at home at the same time, so a club with more teams than tables can be allotted 1 and 6 and never clash. Likewise 2 and 5.

Teams 1 and 6 are always alternately home and away.
