  • eBay 3000 Baldock wafers in 100 pks

I have 3000 11mm Genuine Baldock Green wafers for sale , they are in 30 packets of 100 .

Sell job lot for £150 plus postage , I got these 10 years ago when we cleared the workshop out at work , and are genuine old Baldocks which are not made anymore , enough to keep someone happy for a few years tipping cue's the old method of soaking the wafer in boiling water and apply to end of cue then squeeze tip onto end , they give you more time to position the tip correctly , unlike super glue which can also send the tip rock hard .

I am still looking for the old black type baldock tip's , not managed to find them yet , but they will surface in the summer when I clear the Garage out .

I am selling these privately and not as a Trader in any way . they are in my personal collection of billiard cast offs in the Garage .

I have been asked to sell a few packets of 100 on their own , I will do this as I do have more than 30 packets , but the 30 packets are still up for sale at £150 job lot if they require that option . or £50 for 10 packets thats 1000 wafers ? in three lots ?

£6 per packet + £1.15p signed for postage which is 74p for signed for service plus a first class stamp .

Who really wants to go back to the old way of fixing tips?

Maybe is ok for anybody that has not tried it and fancy a bit of nostalgia.

They are not Cue tips but a fixing wafer in packets of 100 , which when dipped in hot water soften and become sticky to bond a tip to a cue .
due to lost post abroad I would not risk posting to thailand .
my for sales are only in Uk and Ireland by signed for Reg post realy .
that way I am 100% certain they will get there .
I have sold a few single packets and all have arrived safely .

yes it is the old fashioned way of fixing a cue tip and will require more work , but unlike super glue , it allows for perfect alignment of the tip before it grabs , and is not messy if you get it on youre fingers .
You will be surprised there are still a few people who prefer them over Super glue Gell or liquid glue , as it will not soak into the tip and send hard .
I would like to say I do not believe the old tips are upto modern play there are far better tips around , but these Fixing wafers for fixing a tip are upto modern play as all they do is Fix a tip and do it well ..
a bit more drying time is required and trim any overhang off , but thats all .

And for all you younger one's who have never seen wafers before , all packets have instructions on how to apply the wafer and tip and prepare the cue and tip .

                      Good Day, Geoff,
This is very interesting, I have been around billiard halls for over 35 years and have never heard of these. Tweeten was the way of the past.
                      Cheers,
I try hard, play hard and dont always succeed, at first.!!!!:snooker:

They are the original way to fix a tip to a cue ,Tweetons was a glue that was much later used than wafers .
But Wafers where still being used in the 80s , now they do not make wafers anymore they are getting rare to find , some Players prefer a tip secured by a wafer rather than super glue which is used far too often these days and can soak up into the leather tip and harden it .
