Yes -- a couple of years ago I spoke with John regarding a customized pool cue (built from his Champion design), but since the shaft-size became a sticky point, I ended up having Longoni make this cue.
However, since I still would very much like a Parris in my arsenal of pool cues, especially a sweet looking Champion or a Traditional, I contacted him again, twice, but he never replied.
Ideally, I'd like to have him make a 28" partial butt -- i.e., a butt-end without a joint (and without a shaft) that has its black inlay-points tapered off at the top of the butt (approximately 2" away from where the joint goes), and then have a Predator UniLoc joint installed on this partial -- which I can get done here in the US.
But since I never heard back from John, I now wonder if it's possible to buy a butt somewhere and then do a core job on it.
