  • Sawing cue tip

Hello. I saw that some professionals have the very short cue tip almost as if they had just hit the ferrule. Original is about 5mm long. Is there any big difference is shorter, longer? If I wanted to sawing cue tip like they, how to do it.

I just put a new tip on which was a bit high so i shaved a mm or so off it , didnt saw it but trimmed it with a stanley knife , polished the bottom smooth and stuck it on . Some tips like elks are firm when they are smaller but certain laminated tips fel the same no matter what height they are .
