  • wanted cue top sander

    hi

    im looking for a cue top sander, to use when replacing the tip, as mu ferrule has become rounded through someone doing a bad job on my last tip replacemnet, so am now doing it myself

    thanks for any help

      Make sure you pop a bit of cloth around your cue so that you don't damage the shaft as you tighten.

        I forgot to say, that my friend uses some thin cardboard to protect the shaft and he said that you dont need to clamp it down that much anyway.

          Or else use a nice flat file and do it by hand. When done, balance the file on the top of the ferrule and rotate it around and if it dips anywhere then you have a low/high spot and need to file some more. Cheaper and less damaging that a ferrule top sander which can do an un-level job if it's worn a bit

            I could fit you a new tip and ferrule for less than buying a a daft machine that will cause problems ! Good luck lol
