  • Cue cleaning cloths

What type of cloth/towel does everyone use to keep their cue feeling smooth and silky? Are there any accessories out there that are designed to achieve this?

Would like to know, too. I'm using some kind of cloths that are designed for cleaning spectacles purpose, to keep the cue clean and smooth. :nevreness:

I just use a microfibre cloth at the moment but I'm sure there is a better way. Looking forward to hearing what others use.

        I just use a fluffy face-washer.

I damp one end and then dry with the other.

        Repeat and all good!
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
        I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Yep use the same method. Sometimes I use a piece of silk/nylon to burnish the shaft aftwards

Have not found anything better than a MICROFIBRE CLOTH stay away from those yellow duster type cloths (to much fluff) In this weather I make sure I have a bottle of plain water not only to quench my thirst but to very slightly damp my cloth and wipe my cue then buff dry (Dont make the cloth to wet just damp.) "Word of warning there are some purpose made cue towels on the market that have a metal eyelet and clip for hanging ! the eyelets can have a sharp edge and could scratch your cue"

I wouldn't use it for anything other than burnishing

Got a 'Parris Cues' cloth for fathers day... unused so far because it won't fit in the case

                      I use a duster!

                        Cue cleaning cloths

I just wrap my cue towel round the handle, defeats the purpose I guess of carrying it but sure...

I had one (Wont fit in case) I used to sort of worm it under the case straps on the outside of the case got fed up it kept dropping off in the middle of the high street like you it was back to the humble duster.

Dont use microfiber cloth as this tends to dry out the wood to much. Go for the good old bar towel.
