  • Tip thickness

Can anyone recommend a tip that doesn't need to be trimmed for thickness. I play pool with an 8mm tip and have no trouble shaping but end up wasting half of them when I trim the thickness before gluing them on. I don't like too thick a tip. Cheers, Mike.

You can get 8mm elk master tips which are already low enough, you'll have to be precise when fitting them though

Thanks, I'll have a look at the phoenix, should have said my ferrule is 8.25mm although elkmasters are cheap enough for me to muck a few up if I get the 8.5. Thanks, Mike.

If you have a vice put the tip between two bits of metal,(so you don't mark it) and tighten the vice as much as you can, leave it at least overnight, the tip will be half the size at least and nice and firm.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!
