I was very suprised how good the TS Long Ba tips actually are, firm but not hard!

I far as I know they are just impregnated with chalk.

Have installed 2 M tips and realise they do not have the "hairy" bits like an elk masters. Also when trimming the side of the tip(using a sharpener) the side come out in one piece. So far I'm quite impress with it.

I think the light blue are medium and the grey are soft. I ordered 3 of each from a dealer on e bay and thats what they were like in the individual plastic bags and were marked that way

            Hi

Following on from putting on a grand tip soft and having now a few sessions to bed it in. I have to say they are very impressive. Chalk retention still isn't as good as an Elk, But if every tip plays like this grand then I will be using these moving forward.

I'm someone that has been using elk for year's as I never got on with BD myself...
Have found like a lot are saying, my last few boxes (put a lot of tips on for people), that almost 50% have been really soft.
Funny as the last box I've got had been more like I was use to getting but fancy trying these Grand tips but think it might have to be the soft ones.
              Like a firm tip...
Any advice from the guy's that are using them?
For that one you've always wanted...

I using Grand Medium tip now and feel the tip is consistence and firm than BD or ELK.
It is really worth to buy and you may try it.

I was given a Pro granite by a friend which went on today...
Plays strange, as in hard but does take side ect really well...

Put on a medium Grand tip the past weekend and gave it a go last night. At first glance, I felt a bit disappointed because it felt softer to what I was expecting. A friend of mine who had one before found it too hard for his liking.....which normally suits me. But as the session went in, tip was starting to bed in and feel was better. Great grip, good spin, pretty consistent. Managed to knock in some decent breaks as well. Now the tip only have something like 3h30 of practice so I'll get a better idea after a couple of days. But so far so good.

I used to use the Pro Granites, TSF medium and the TS Long Ba tips are better than them imo.

The Long Ba tips are very good, 20 mins in a tip press and they're the bollocks. Wouldn't use anything on my cue other than a MW super tip but for the price the LB's are excellent.

To be fair Ninja, I would just stick them on, they are good enough no one can complain and most folk probably take the tip off that comes with the cue and stick on what they like anyway.

Very true but it helps if you have something on the that people can play with at least.

Bad tip will change how a cue feels and want to start off on the right foot..
Looking forward to trying them out.
