They got a bit hit or miss there, was mike experimenting with them..? Used to rate them highly myself...

What do you mean by a "starter" tip ??
I only use these tips, i think they are perfect (for me)

Yeah the one's I tried were excellent but I soon get the temptation to change frequently, especially being on here...

Yes any pressed tip would be ideal... along with elkmaster/blue diamond etc

I think the only tip that come close to mikes supertips are the buffalo diamond tips AdR sells although they are a bit softer

The special Elks are very similar to the MW supertips

Claimed to be. I couldn't get any MW so gave them a bash. Much the same - a pressed tip that keeps it shape and last a while
