  • Question about tips

I Have a question regarding cutting down a tip with a knife to reduce its size , I do this with the blue diamonds i use as they are slightly to high in my opinion uncut , I allways was told that you cut the top off say a couple of mm and leave the base as that is the shoe of the tip and it absorbes all the glue ,, etc . I have also been told that that it is not the way you when reducing a tip should cut the base off and stick the tip on that way as to retain the original shape of the tip . Who is correct ? and who can give me reasons, other than the ones ive stated why .

stick it on whole, cut it to size width ways and sand it down height ways with course paper then shape with fine paper.

I wish I had a tip to shape!

Ordered some tips on Ebay paid the seller over 10 days ago
sent two emails asking when they might be sent, but I am being
          totally ignored.

          What are my options?

is the seller me? what sort of tips and how did you pay. most people on ebay pay with paypal and that would cover you.

You should just glue the tip on, then file it down to the thickness you want. Or cut it down after it is glued--it would be much easier than to do it before it is glued.

i think you have to allow 28 days, then you can report the seller and make a claim against him, if you still havent received your goods or heard anything from him.
