  • Identify this Cue/Brand

    Hi everyone,

Keen, 8 ball player from Australia here and first time poster. Just wondering if anyone can help identify the brand of cue that I just acquired. Looks like I can't attach a picture but it had a round, white badge on it. With a W in the middle framed by what appear to be large upper case I's on either side, Under that is the word "ENGLAND" curved to match the bottom half of the badge. Hope that helps!

    Cheers

    hi there, welcome to TSF
I have an idea for the make of cue but as they say a picture tells a thousand words

Yes I believe attachment function is not open for new members but to do images you can also do the following.

How to add images to your TSF posts
You can use a free image-sharing site such as ImgBB, without registering (you can register for free), to upload your images, you may have to do the “not a robot” checks quickly.
    ImgBB.com
    Click on "Start Uploading"
Browse to the file and select it, click Open
Auto delete image - leave as "Don't autodelete".
    Click "Upload".
Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked".
Hover over the code in the box, a "COPY" will appear, click this.
Go to your TSF post and paste.
You can repeat for multiple images in a single post.
There are other image sharing sites as well.
    Up the TSF! :snooker:

I haven’t a clue but I’d be interested to see a photo of the rest of the cue . It would also give a better idea of age possibly ?

They look like pillars each side of the W so that might be a clue.

It looks like there is a line that connects those pillars that is partially worn off. Upon closer inspection (with my glasses) on, I think it does say EMGLAND!!! Must be a piece of %^&$ knockoff. I was kinda hoping I'd picked up something decent, as the previous owner had no idea and the sale price was less than the case it came in. It's a 3/4 cue with the fitting for an extension. Maybe I'll use it as my break cue so I don't break my legit "Ton Praram" main cue or I'll just let the kids use it so I don't have a heart attack when they use my good cue carelessly! Cheers

if it plays well for you, keep it, as you say for a break cue
thanks for sharing, more knowledge for the membership
there is a sticky thread in this "Cues" section for "Post Pictures of Your Cue", please share your Tom Praram
a friend has one, bought some years ago and it is a lovely cue.

Will do, it's a great cue! Bought second hand but it was in brand new condition when I purchased it.

Added pics of my main cue to the sticky in the right section but the links will break in a month. Here they are just in case you guys that were interested don't see it in the other thread. Still can't upload attachments yet.

                        lovely looking cue
                        very similar to my friend's

                        1. "Attachments" beware the function is very restrictive and hard to manage.
                        2. using ImgBB - I think you may have missed a couple of the steps which may solve what you seem to be seeing.

Love the look of that shaft, I don't like many arrows and I don't like them overly dark. Cracking looking cue.
