  • Pictures of wood!

Anybody know where I can get pictures of wood from?

    Predominately the wood that snooker cues are made from;

    Ash
    Ebony
    Cocobolo
    Bocote
    Rosewood
    Maple
    Olive
    Padauk
    Pink Ivory
    Tulip wood
    Walnut
    Yew
    Zebrano

Yip, contact a cuemaker, and ask nicely. Also, totlxtc on this forum's already posted photos of wood, I'm sure.

I figured as i remembered the thread it would be easier for me to find than to search through every one of totlxtc's posts

Ha ha, ok cheers for the thread link and in reply to a few posts, I did contact a cue maker, Mike Wooldridge and after 15 minutes of chatting I nearly forgot what I called him about till he reminded me that I actually called him lol any way he also suggested contacting totlxtc but he hasn;t been online and he is not on MSN at the moment and I am an impatiet guy and want everything now so I thought I would post.

And I bet by the time I have finished this post totlxtc would of come back online and replied before me, so if you have got them can you email me some close up shots of some wood please? and if I get any dirty pictures I won't be happy

I know what you mean. I am already trapped in...
I cannot decide what top splice without backing veneer i shoud choose for my Tony Wilshaw cue... Cocobolo? Bloodwood? Striped ebony?
                          Sh*t... I need an exorcist...

I agree. But I have already an old Ions cue with Tulipwood...
What makes things easier is that I do not like burr wood so much.
                              Haha, easier...
