I can't say I am familiar with mine, but it is in one piece, that is all I know. It is older than me.

I use a Riley Burwat, not one of the recent ones, but from the 1980's.
Anyone know anything about them? Seems to be hand spliced & well made.

North West 3/4 ash 58'' 9.75mm 18.5oz. 30.25 butt. very stiff shaft - my main and favorite cue and i use it since 2008

Trevor White 3/4 ash, 58'', 9.75mm ,18.25 0z. 30.20 butt, less stiff than the North West

Both are great! (Tried over 50 cues)

Was using a custom made UT maple cue since Oct/Nov 2009 until my new Aurora cue came just last weekend.

Butt is made of Brazilian rosewood, spliced with one front face of snakewood over a thick maple burr veneer.

                      Cue spec
                      weights :17.40oz
                      Balance @ 17" from butt
                      Tip : 9.7mm with Moori M tip
                      Length : 57"
                      Butt : 29.5mm

Had a high break of 35pt on my 2nd frame of the game.

I would say that pooljunkie's workmanship is indeed top notch, the shaft selection is also excellent. But there is something that can be better is the usage of lacquer on the front splice to make the splices more outstanding.

In terms of playability, the cue is well balanced even thou it is on a lighter side of 17.60z. Will highly recommend the cue to those who enjoy cues the likes of Deroo etc.

I use an Aurora 1-piece with specs of:

17.3oz (pqj - I took off the lead tape)
                                57"
9.6mm brass ferrule with pro granite tip
                                29mm butt diameter
ash shaft (very good) with ebony butt with maple and other inlays.

I have been using this cue (sometimes with adjusted weight) for the past 4 months and am very happy with the cue and poolqjunkies workmanship.

I would highly recommend Aurora cues to anyone looking for a very good cue at a very reasonable price as this 1-piece is the best cue I have ever owned and I have owned at least 100 cues over the years, maybe 200 (never counted).

High break so far in practice is 132 and in match play 89. (Match centuries are eluding me at the moment)
