  • Whippy Cue

My shaft on my Trevor White is a little bit too whippy, can anything be done to make it less whippy?
    Thanks

have you thought about nailing a piece of batten to it mate?

    should do the trick.

You could have the shaft shortened, it will make the tip size bigger and more stabile. But what do i know

Ask Trevor and see what he says:snooker:

I can't believe Trevors cue would be so whippy as you would need something done to make it stiffer. Did you not tell trevor that you wanted a stiff shaft.
if your not happy with the cue contact trevor and see what he says, or you could just sell it.
You could put layers of varnish on it but is not something I would reccomend

Top shelf of the oven, 200 degrees, 30 mins till golden brown.

Remove, wipe, reheat. Jobs a good'n

Well there are some donut answers there, very helpful! Do I need to nail the wood to it before it goes in the oven?

Moisture content of the wood might effect how whippy the cue is and over many years as the wood matures and loses water content it might get stiffer.
To be honest M8 if your not happy with the cue just move it on and get another. The cue is what it is and there is nothing to be gained in having the cue altered, believe me I know.

Get someone with a lathe and a 3mm drill bit. Drill about 5 inches down from the tip end and insert a bit of ebony. Presto.

also, have you thought about putting a tip on the butt end and using it that way mate.

                        simple but effective!

if you need any more advice dont hesitate to ask.

buy a freezer big enough to put it in, and before playing, freeze the cue...

you might also have to buy a pair of gloves to play in though.....
