      • Hi Jim, bought a one piece jawes cue from friend in club but unsure what joint in the bottom of the cue is, do u use sd joints on all of ur cues?

          Sd is just a generic term, doesn't identify which make of extension it is

                I always thought the term SD as in the extension joints was specific to John Parris and the time he worked with Steve Davis (SD) to develop said joints for extensions?

                • Joints were about before JP made his sd ones.
                  He with Davis just made them more mainstream.

                    specifically only JP has joints called "SD joints"
                    but it does seem that many people call any butt joint an "SD joint"
