  • How to paint a butt...

    Hi Chaps,

Got my 2 new cues from Supphat @ Tom Thailand, very nice they are too...but

I had a break cue made from a laminated shaft and the bottom of the shaft (butt as there are no splices) is downright ugly (Not Supphats fault, just how it is), so I'm thinking of staining it, but how would I mask it to form the faux butt splices?

I'm guessing trying to fake a machine splice butt would be the easiest, but any ideas?

And whilst I'm at it, what's the best product to stain an ebony butt black?

I'd rather send it to someone and have it spliced than paint it bud. It will look sh!t...

        Hi Cally,

        Hope you're well mate...

it's a break cue mate, trying to keep the weight down. Might just dye the butt end completely (no splices), can't look any worse, the laminated shaft goes a bit MDMA at the bottom lol
