Maybe that's one I'll shelve for later until I get a few methods. It would be interesting to see the difference as to shine and feel when they are compared.

Are we married to the same woman.

I have noticed that when you are in the workshop I can't hear any voices...............until I go back in doors that is!

            Look forward to the update.

I've been building a few websites for people (carpenters) so workshop has moved on quicker and been getting advice off them for various things.

            It's all an experiment!

Good video Mark, no need to bother with cleaning the ferrule until it's actually on the cue mate as it's bound to get scratched when fitting it.

Brilliant Shockerz, the pipe cutter did a great job.
Just a thought, and even if it works it's probably overkill but would a little bit of cutting compound help make the cut cleaner( no burr) ?

If I could show you the ferrule up close it's perfect and I didn't go overboard. You don;t really need any cutting compound I think it's just the nature of the roller wheel.

The burr probably looks a lot of the video but it was tiny.

You were right originally though, the pipe cutters are fine with brass, nice one!

It was just for the video Steve so it would look like a nice job.

I also bought a set of plastic jawwed pliers to put them on and off which don't scratch.

                    • Are you making your own cues Shockerz? I noticed it was an oversized shaft you put the ferrule on.

That was a straight 12mm ash dowel I put it on.

Thanks Ramon. I'm just gonna do a few simple ones as you never know where peoples knowledge is at.

If I get a few views I may then consider action films on location with a stunt double or..........................just carry on stuttering my way through basic stuff.

At least it justified the video camera to my wife.
