A back up cue for a pro is a different matter entirely.

Wakelin got on the tour because his opponent's cue snapped... He couldn't continue, was docked frame and match.

Similar if you turn up without chalk, I think... you lose the frame for not being ready to play?

If I was his opponent and that happened to me I'd have snapped my cu.... oh.

Lots of pros have backup cues, but it's still not the same and you're far better off changing the tip than your cue
