  • One for the old cue lovers Eureka cue with stripey ebony butt + nicely figured Tulip wood secondary splicings. Dates anywhere between 1933 through to 1967.
    Specs: 56 1/2", 9.5 ferrule, 17 3/4 oz, 30mm butt, balance point 18", splices 17 1/2"

Who can guess why this is not a £350 cue ?

Thats near enough Andrew! Unfortunately its been centre split with a modern quick action joint, but also the shaft is a new one Grain and colour is quite a good match up tho and at a casual glance you wouldn't know (in a dark snooker room lol)
Now this makes for a great playing cue, being nice and stiff etc but don't know what to do with it now, as its a bit short for me. This was a rushed purchase on a buy it now on the bay before someone else clicked !!
I love the butt to bits, but don't know whether to try sell on to someone else as it is, or get it 3/4 split with a longer shaft so that i can use it myself.

Oh yeah forgot about that lol
Seriously tho, since getting it ive refinished the whole butt and now just can't stop stroking it (cue porn)
Any idea how much Craftsman would charge for 3/4 splitting it and supplying a nice longer shaft to get it to 58" ???

                              I sometimes worry about you.........lol

Best ask 'em mate i've known dave to find just the right piece of ash to do a good grain match up if you can wait till the right piece comes along. Are you thinking of cutting it just above the splices ?

                                I worry too !
I think it would be a nice touch to retain the 17 oz weight stamp, so that would make the split tight at 19" or better at 19 1/2" altho don't know how this would affect balance point, i would leave that up to them tho if they felt it wouldn't be right
