Great looking trio of cues jrc, all playable ? what specs ?

Yeah all decent enough, but as usual the Cannon probably the best player
Cannon: 58", 10.9, 17 oz, 16 1/4" bp
Newman: 57 3/4", 11, 16.3 oz, 16" bp (was bent, now straight )
Falkiner: 58", 11.1 (un-ferruled), 15.8 oz,17 1/2" bp, havn't seen one like this before

I hope this isnt too much of a silly question but would a pure snakewood butt need extra weighting or is it as heavy as ebony?

This cue is my new fav but looks pricey!

Good question for someone like Mike Wooldridge or Andy Travis or other cue makers.
I've heard that olive wood is heavier than ebony. Not sure obout it!

Full snakewood come out about 15 1/2 oz or the one i made did.but what a classic.

well I just checked some sites (not wiki) and snakewood can be nearly as dense as ebony. But will probably still have a small amount of additional weight.

I'd imagine it would be a lot lighter than ebony but most cues for snooker now are weighted anyway.

I believe snakewood (similar to rosewood) is less dense than ebony. But considering that most ebony butts have additional weights to bring up to "modern standard" I would expect this would be so with snakewood.
IIRC this cue was "not that expensive" at the time but that Aurora cues have gone up in price since the resurrection.
