  • A good venue - tables mixed or all the same?

What would make a snooker venue stand out for its tables?

If they were mixed brand, Star, Riley, Wiraka etc.
    OR
Is it better if they just use one brand?

Some players like one type of table, others like to mix it up a bit.
Currently Star has the world events, but they could go back to Riley later. The pro pocket template changes a lot and who knows how many variations there have been over the years.
Wiraka is used by the IBSF and they have got a standard pocket template.

So, should a venue try and keep up with all these changes over the years bearing in mind that a table is a costly investment and you have to plan long term.
My preference would be to have a mix, you could compare the tables on the same day and practice on one type if you know what the next tournament is using to fine tune some shots.
