        I checked my iron. It is turned up to 3 dots whatever temperature that is. It works fine.

          Sorry, I forgot I had promised a reply. The heat on an iron is indicated by a number of spots. I have mine turned up to 3 spots. AsI said earlier just test on a bit of cloth and get it right. No doubt a dowsing iron and the "correct" brush are great but I do fine with a Phillips iron (no relation) and a clothes brush. I also have a paint brush to get under the cushions. Total cost- clothes brush about 50p (they are cheap here) other items I scrounged. Main thing is I use them.
