Slightly high cushions

Hi

Is there a recommendation on what to do with slightly high cushions?
I thought of clamping them down before fixing the screws - and I also read in another thread that wetting the cushion cloth could cause it to shkrink - thus bending down the rubber.

Is there a recommended quick fix?
