  • Pockets for Chevillotte Table

All -- probably a long shot but here we go. Last year the owner of a local pool club purchased a Chevillotte snooker table (model = Europa: see http://www.homeleisuredirect.com/Ass...pa-snooker.jpg ). For some reason it took longer than expected to set it up in the club and the pockets have been lost/misplaced.

Does anyone know where to find pockets for those tables? The owner of the club has been in touch with Chevillotte in France but it seems complicated to get a hold of them.

Also: in the event it is not possible to get spare pockets from the manufacturer, is there a way to fit pockets from another manufacturer? For instance Star or BCE tables?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

i think you get other pockets from other manf. look here and see which fits your table, and get the corresponding leathers and nets and rails.

Dr. Jef -- thanks for your response and for the link you provided. Pardon my ignorance (never did anything like this before) but when talking about fit do you mean in terms of style or dimension? Assuming the latter, is it crucial to have the blue prints or technical specifications from the manufacturer? Unclear we have access to that at the moment.

On the end of the cushion you will find a single hole, double hole or some other hole. This is where the lugs or pins of the pocket plate go. If it's a double pin it may be the Riley two pin pocket plate. If it's a single hole there should also be a hole drilled vertically up through bottom of cushion. This is where a bolt is inserted to hold the single pin pocket in place. But you may find that with both type of pockets some adjustments may be required if they use an unusual pocket configuration. If you can photograph the end of the cushion. You may have to peel back the cloth to get a clear photo. Peradons don't deal with public but I can get them for you.
