Northern rubber is the best rubber as used on all championship tables

re - rubbers in Northern rubber start at £325 to £400 depending on which firm does them . some over the top quotes are in excess of £500
it all depends on traveling time too and distance

you will of course have to have the cushions re-covered too , i never re-cover over rubber put on the same day
I always leave overnight and re-cover the next day

I can open up and close pockets if new rubber is being put on ,
never mix cushions from various tables into one set to try and make a good table , I get this all the time with pool tables where you have two blue rubber two re rubber and two black rubber all on one table

DPT use imported canvas backed chinese or taiwan rubber .
most pool tables have this canvas backed rubber on even Supreme tables .

@geoff could I ask the reason behind not re-covering on the same day? Glue dry?

I think my plan is going to be too expensive, I can't see how I am going to be able to convince half a dozen lads to chip in over a hundred pound each to get a table completely overhauled , (there is no point recovering and moving cushions but leaving ancient rubbers on them,)one or two just might but that would be it.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Ask the fitters for their opinion on the best way to achieve what you want and their cost estimate. Rubber may be in ok condition. We are just speculating since we haven't seen the tables.

The Northern rubber may be forced off the block when you cover within a few hours best to leave until next day , my mentor Mick Robb taught me this many years ago and this was also done at my next firm I worked for , I even used to have arguments with my new boss who bought the firm over this issue
he was not interested in doing the job right but quicker

but if you use the canvas backed lower cost imported rubber this grips very good canvas backing to wood and can be recovered on the same day and I have done this with pool tables .
