Chandler's Ford under-14 Spring Tournaments

Chandler's Ford club-boss Jim Everett is kicking off a series of 'Spring Tournaments' for under-14s.

The format will be based on that which is used nationally. IE round-robin groups leading to a KO with no handicaps.

The field will include Pontin's under-12 finalist Shane Castle and losing semi-finalist Jordan Winbourne.

Dates are March 25, April 1 (no fooling), May 13, May 27 and June 10.

Entry cost will be five of your English pounds. All dates are Sundays and we start at 10.30am.

In a repeat of the Pontin's under-12 tournament, Adam Bobat (Fareham) beat Jordan Winbourne (Botley) in today's semis and Shane Castle (Marchwood) in the final. And, again in a repeat, Shane took the lead.

The three good friends, who are among the country's top youngsters, meet again on May 13 at Chandler's Ford for the third comp in the Spring Tournament scratch series.
