  • Bridge hand knuckle

Maybe a basic question but when making a bridge should the thumb be placed near or close to the middle knuckle or higher against what I would call the punching fist knuckle.

punching fist knuckle so that channel is formed between knuckle and thumb. Lower and the cue would probably be able to slip as the channel would not be as deep.

As long as you make a strong 'V' for the cue, as stong as you can make it and as long as it's stable. Ensure the 'V' is at the height you want to hit the cueball and no higher or lower. When applying top spin raise the 'V' and bottom spin lower it. Do not adjust the height of the tip using the grip hand and raising or lowering the butt as that is not the way to go
