I need to read that book.

Lost my town singles final 3:2 yesterday to an underdog. Fair play, I wasn't on form but in the decider, at the start of the frame I was about to play a black to split the pack and the chairman of our entire league jumped up from his seat, right in my line of shot.

I chipped the white off the table and even though I had chances I would usually gobble up to win, I was that angry at the lack of decorum for a match, I really could not shake out of it.

Then again, had I been practicing a lot and in decent form I might not have cared. Perhaps I'm just a miserable *******.

Now that I'm older and SUPPOSEDLY more level-headed I find I just have to wait them out and I especially enjoy making a shot to nothing and then rolling up tight behind the brown and watching their start disappear since over here we normally play the 'MUST HIT' rule rather than correctly playing the MISS rule.

The other thing I'll do is if I pot a red and there are no colours available I will try and bring a colour out into the table with a safety shot and you'll find (or at least I have) that once you get a couple of colours available all of a sudden they get a little nervous themselves and start scrrewing up one way or another.

if you tried to use the miss rule in a game here it could be years before anybody found your body!

Reading the chimp paradox now. Not what I expected but very interesting. Like I said forget about your opponent because you have no control over their ability or whether they put colors safe etc. you can't control how well you play either and thats important to remember! Obviously keeping concentration, good technique and feeling confident help but that doesnt mean you definately will play well. Try and remember that and you should get less stressed when the game is going bad.

Written word sounds like it came from him. True, no way of verifying.
