This is absolutely brilliant Les!! What a difference!

You look like you're playing with a lot more confidence and hitting through the ball better. Also, as Leo has said, your pace around the table is better. I think this is because you're confident and you believe comfortably in your mind now what you're about to do.

Amazing what some focused practice can do ay!

Possibly, probably because I am confident where the cue ball is going so I just pot it and move on. Instead of worrying about where it's going and pause before I get down over the shot and also once i am down on the shot still not knowing where it's going. No wonder I couldnt make a ball.

          Looking good Les.

Looks like having your pockets opened up slightly has made a big difference to your confidence.

Funny thing is this table is new a couple months ago and the pockets have never been widened in fact they are a tad tighter then Terry's but almost identical to the new Shenders they brought into the Corner Bank. If you had of seen the video from a week ago trying to clear the colours you would not believe it. I should put it back up as I took it down I was so imbarresed.

Nice going Les. I'm beginning to think that there may be hope yet for a hacker like me.
The bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Right what have you done with the real Les Edwards lol. I am pretty much speechless Les, to tell you the truth I thought I would never see it,like a new player, well done. Last clearance pretty much textbook.
Keep hammering the colours Les, then when it's match time and you get down to them you will have that mental strength over your opponent because you will know you can do it easily.

I will be drilling this into my head until next week when I get my next challenge.

When you get the next one don't neglect this one or you will lose the habit, do both.

Yes for sure, it feels so good when it starts to happen. I know my form is still no where perfect but sometimes like Cliff says at my age you have to go with what you have and make it work.

Most frames are won on the colours Les and most big breaks need a clearance too - don't neglect that bit ever - he's right - add other routines but keep this one in and finish with it every time before you turn out the lights. - well done buddy keep smacking that leather

Thanks Byrom, I won't, its always a great weapon to have and when I think back at how many games I have lost on the colours even when playing as bad as I have been I could have pulled some of those games off. I cannot believe I have gone so long without figuring out that every stun off the cushion is no different then a stun off the black cushion. I have spent hour upon hour on the black stunning from every angle possible with all different heights to learn where the CB is going. All it took was a simple Yellow and Green to realize you can pound these in and stun off the cushion and be perfect where I used to roll everything in dead weight and loose the CB or miss the shot.

sometimes its just the small things buddy - I noticed you just got in the habit of trying to make sure - of course there are occasions when you mix it up to give the ball the best chance of going in at the right pace or with a slow roll but hell it does feel better with the stun and thwack now don't it? gets you in that positive zone - I can usually tell by the sound when I am cueing well - fills you with confidence that sound after a while don't you think Les? Now cue through it keep cue forwards stay down pose a bit learn subconsciously from any misses - all of a sudden you Les are reborn a player my man.

Looking forward to seeing your next challenge from ted - you got half the world coaching you - cant fail now kid

Well done Les, what a change in mind set in the space of a week . Keep going with this positive attitude and believe in yourself. When you start to doubt yourself just watch your videos back .

                                Cheers Ricky
