  • Potting Woes!

    Hello All.

Just recently I've been going thru a lean spell with my game. I had a couple of coaching sessions over the last few months and feel like i'm cueing better than ever. The problems is now i've lost all confidence in my potting. I'm looking at the object ball and i'm getting zero feedback. I can't recognise the angle. I can't focus on the contact point. And don't even get me started on the "Ghostball" method!

If i get my potting back, my confidence would be sky high.

Anybody have any drills/routines/methods I can use?

    Cheers.

Make sure you are sighting the ball right... do you know if you are "left-eyed" or "right-eyed"?

I sight with my right eye 100% over the cue. Sometimes I get lazy and don't get down dead in line with my right eye, and then I find it harder to get the potting angle. Of course if you are "even-sighted" then ignore this advice!

The only other thing I can suggest is doing line ups till your confidence starts to return!

Dump your coach. Your paying him to help you improve your game but it seems all he's achieved is to screw up your confidence.

Yeah, you need to pot, Cueing isn't important.

          I wish someday, I will witness a 155 break.
