It's one of those things that isn't articulated often. I never think to mention it to players, but how often do you see newer players trying the line up and ending up on the side cushion within a few shots. Most of the instructional material just says top, bottom, center, left, right. It may seem obvious or small to the rest of us, but because of that when we communicate cue ball control to new players, we sometimes say "top, center, bottom, left and right".

This has been around for years, you can get cue balls with it all drawn on them, if you do a bit of coaching and think it might help. A little Google search and you will find loads of info on this type of thing. I'm not totally sure but it may have originated from nine ball.

no it was a very good question, it inspired me to open my snooker graphics folder. keep them coming bluenose.. and its good to hear players are getting something from my description of the cue ball

I vaguely remember a pool ball that has something similar yes. I'll take a look for a similar cue ball for snooker, I had forgotten about those balls.

50 blacks and cue review

requested by a member, im showing the patterns of this top routine from a different perspective with my latest one piece plain ebony and ash 58/9.2/29.5/17bp/17.2oz and 22'" splices.
i felt a bit unsteady, time off means hips were not slotting into the shot as i like, and miss timing. but i hope this helps

the table could be better for sure but the cue is very solid, stiff and lively. will take it out again tomorrow for a proper workout..
