  • Clearly a kick . Look how much throw there is on that! Even though you have hit ever so slightly left, it's gone outside the bleedin pocket ! Where as plain ball slightly right it still went in pretty central, did you notice any swerve on the cue ball when you played it Ted? I know it will be very hard to tell from that distance , what was the distance between the two balls about ten inches?
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

    • Yes mate - about 12 inches something like that. There is always a slight swerve, but you get BOTH things happening. You get the swerve and you also get the throw on the object ball.

Yeh , I agree with that, think I said that 25 pages ago lol. Even with slight swerve the cue ball hasn't hit the object ball in a spot to send it outside the pocket, to me that's near enough pure throw and it proves you can get quite a lot of it.

            • Look at the shadows under the balls as they meet, pause the video to do it, then judge what direction you think the red should go. It really doesn't throw much at all.

This is the best I can do the next one is after contact, but the balls are pretty close together here can't be much more than a mill or two between them at most.

It's useless in snooker or otherwise we would see it being used by the pros all the time. Probably useful in 9-ball but my opinion is 'who cares?'

9 ball, snooker same rules apply. Snooker players in general don't venture too much from the centre of the cue ball as it's mainly stun shots into areas of the table. Still handy too know these shots as Wilson proved
