try different routines as this will help u a lot
try to open up a few reds and split the pack off the blue or black
always think positive
you should be scoring heavier sooner than you think!!Last edited by snookergr; 9 April 2008, 10:47 PM.

I decided to record some of the frames I played last week. I'm the guy with the glasses on - was beaten something like 6-2 on the night.

Out of about 3 hours these two clips were the best I could find. In both cases I pretty much needed a clearance to win both frames - didn't happen. Will sort the camera angle out for next time.

i think line-ups are one thing, and fair play to you for making 100's at this, but whilst they do provide valuable practise routines if you do not have regular practise partners they in no way replicate "live" situations in proper match Snooker, and I believe that is a key point. There are various different different Line ups, I favour one that has two blacks below the black spot, 5 more reds between black and pink. one red in the open between pink spot and side rail. 4 Reds in the open randomly between pink spot and blue, with the final 2 reds sat above the centre pockets as "safety balls". Try finishing the break with these two, before taking the colours.
As I said I don't think any line up compensates for good practise with opponents of your own standard or possibly slightly better than you, to give yourself a goal in terms of standard to obtain. Don't get too concerned by your technique, or by making big big breaks continually or you will find yourself getting more and more frustrated, there is more to winning Snooker matches than that. + If we could all pot em all the time we would be on TV eh?Its not how well you play its how good you look playing that counts!
