Well, I started playing when I was a youngster back in England. It was always a toss-up between Footy and snooker, wether it be playing it or watching it on the telly.
Well, it all went downhill once I came to Canada.
No tv coverage, (to my knowledge anyway) and no internet at first. So I completely lost touch with this fantastic game.
What do I love about it?
The level of skill and mental intelligence that it needed in this game is amazing. Due to the lack of interest here, I often just play pool w/the lads or whatever, and it's so much easier. Them big a$$ pockets on the tiny a$$ table. Nonsense.
Anyway, I've been trying to catch up on things and I can't believe Steve Davis is still playing. Hendry was the up-coming star when I last watched it. Ronnie O'sullivan? Never even heard of him til now and he's been around for over a decade. That's how far off I am.
And that Higgins lad! He's not by any chance Alex jr is he?
