  • Parris Ultimate

Probably will not be posting much, but my interest is in whether there is a registry for Parris Ultimate cues? I reside in the U.S. in the state of New Jersey and while there is an active pool (pocket billiards) scene, snooker is far from common. Used to go into NYC to play, but not sure that's even an option any more.

Currently play 8-ball on a Central Jersey Senior Billiards League team, supported by a local Senior Center. We play teams from other senior centers around our region. We have been league champions the last 5 consecutive seasons.

Although we have fallen out of touch, I number John Parris as a personal friend. I last saw him in 2005, which was my last trip to the UK. He initially made me a "Special" model cue, in the Jimmy White long butt configuration, in the mid 80's. I commissioned him to make me a center-jointed "Ultimate", (to better fit in American cue cases) which I received in mid-1998. Being that he numbers the Ultimates, I was hoping that there would be a registry.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

There is a Facebook Group called John Paris Cue Registry , if you’re on there someone will know , me personally not sure but I’m jealous you have old Parris cues which in my opinion are much better than the newer ones , welcome to the forum mate

It's hard to pot balls with a Chimpanzee tea party going on in your head

Thanks, I appreciate learning about this. Unfortunately, I don't/won't do Facebook.

        LOL I also don't/won't

Welcome to TSF though, would love to see images of your cue and some specs, not just to see it but also for my own JPU listing

How to add images to your TSF posts
You can use a free image-sharing site such as ImgBB, without registering (you can register for free), to upload your images, you may have to do the “not a robot” checks quickly. There are other image sharing sites as well.
        ImgBB.com
        Click on "Start Uploading".
Browse to the file and select it, click Open.
Auto delete image - leave as "Don't autodelete".
        Click "Upload".

Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked".

Hover mouse over the code in the box, a "COPY" will appear, click this.
Go to your TSF post and paste.
You can repeat for multiple images in a single post.

        Up the TSF! :snooker:
