Hi All,
Doing things backwards - from Wolves you understand - ahem - (have already posted up about a refurb).
Got back into the game by accident - wedding venue had to change and picked a quick but convenient local place - The Firs, Codsall - Turned out to be a blessing in disguise! (for me at least).
Used to play for Pattingham WMC - 16 yrs old - ironically too young to be allowed onto the table other than when playing matches - those were the days, (oh and Bushbury WMC wouldn't let me play on matchnights...not that I'm bitter, or anything...much).
Lost touch with the game somehow and have just started going back to the 'Wedding reception Venue' as they have two snooker tables

Perhaps even more weirdly, unbeknown to me, one of the chaps I used to play in the team with, Robin Newby, is a member at the Firs - I had no idea, its been a pleasure and privilidge to catch up with him again after all these years and play snooker again.
I have one old newspaper cutting, some other pics, and will post these up on my return tonight, hopefully.
Its great to be here - looking forward to renewing my love for the game.
