  • First cue

I have recently starting playing and looking to buy my first cue. Has anyone used one of the sets from cuesoul on Amazon? Or could you recommend where to buy a cue don’t want to spend too much as only play for a couple of hours a week budget is about Β£80-Β£100. Thanks for any help you can give me

    What do you seek?
A one piece, two piece or 3/4 piece cue?
Do you want ash or maple shaft...

I would like a 3/4 cue not really sure about ash or maple. The cue I have been using is an old two piece and I think it’s maple but I’m not sure

They aren't a bad cue for the money and the aluminium case / extension / mini butt included (around Β£70) add to the value. My mate got one and I fitted an Elkmaster tip for him and it plays nicely.

I'm in a similar situation to yourself just starting out and looking for a first cue, also after a 3/4 piece cue. Are you any nearer on deciding which cue to go for?

Think I am going to risk it and go for the cuesoul package off amazon. I just need to decide what design I want. I’m hoping that for Β£60 then a bit more for new tips should have a decent setup for a beginner

I must have been lucky as the CueSoul cue that I mentioned in my introduction thread I managed to get for Β£75 including a Β£10 voucher just two weeks ago. It's now showing as Β£115!

The case is excellent as are the extensions.

I also got 6 pieces of chalk for Β£2.18.

I'd be interested in hearing your final choice and how you get on with it.

Where did you buy your cue from? I’m still unsure what one I want. I have a couple in mind but the one I think looks nicer I’m not a fan of the case as it’s a leather looking one

Just had a look at the on amazon as recommended Im tempted to get one of the Cursol cues myself. I was initially tempted by the Peradon Lazer 3/4 Cue from abc snooker but I’ve read bad things about them on here

I've potted balls with wet tissue paper that had more feel than playing with one of those things!
