  • China Quarter-finals – Results

Below are the provisional results of the Quarter-finals Prediction Contest for the China Open.

Please check your score (and anyone else’s as you wish) and report any queries within 48 hours of the date/time displayed at the top of this thread (that is, by 3:22p.m. BST on Sunday). Any queries raised after this time will not be considered.

There was a five-way for first place, which was resolved in the following way:
Total frames difference between actual and predicted results:
    elvaago: 3 frames' difference
    Marc: 3 frames
    pat39: 3 frames
    Scissors61: 3 frames
    Rane: 5 frames

The remaining four-way tie was resolved by looking at highest break prediction:
    actual: 127
    Elvaago: 147 (20 adrift)
    Marc: 141 (14 adrift)
    pat39: 129 (2 adrift)
    Scissors61: 132 (5 adrift)

Therefore, provisional congratulations to pat39 for winning the round.

Please note also that Chinese 96 gained a bonus point (not included below but marked with a *) for correctly predicting the highest break of the round, which was John Higgins’s 127.

Apologies – and thanks for your honesty!

There was bound to be a mistake somewhere with getting the result up so quickly!

              (Like I should have 5 and I only gave myself 1....... )

I've been lucky in the last few rounds by getting quite a few scorelines correct but that will all change at the Crucible.

Wow, how close was I this time?!
That was a great result for me, and it should help considerably with the end of season. Congrats Pat, very well done.

It's only a matter of time now, I'm going to do a Selby, got close in the world final, and now look at this year.
