  • World Round 2 – Results

Below are the provisional results of the Second-Round Prediction Contest for the World Championship.

Please check your score (and anyone else’s as you wish) and report any queries within 48 hours of the date/time displayed at the top of this thread. Any queries raised after this time will not be considered.

A quick reminder of the scoring for these longer matches: 2 points for the correct winner and scoreline; 1½ points for correct winner and scoreline one frame adrift; one point for the correct winner with other scoreline.

There was a two-way tie for first place. Looking at the number of correct match winners did not resolve the tie – seven each – so the total frames difference between actual and predicted score for the seven correct matches was used to break the tie:
    JoanneT63: 17 frames' difference
    kellie-text: 18 frames' difference

Therefore, provisional congratulations to JoanneT63 for winning the round.

Please note also that adrift, Anastasia, hegeland and JoanneT63 each gained a bonus point (not included below but marked with a *) for correctly predicting the highest break of the round, which was Stephen Hendry’s 140.

Thanks Perry, well spotted. I think I need a few more points to move up the table after my performance from the quarter finals onwards.

Well done Joanne and bad luck to Kellie.
