Eyesight can be corrected with surgery etc so I don’t think that’s so much of an issue and won’t be the reason why players either suddenly miss a ball or start to lose matches.

Eyesight - of course there is surgical options but I was meaning the gradual deterioration of eyesight (and hence lens' prescription) that is enough to affect playing but not enough to justify - or even allowed by the providers - the expense of surgery/laser.
My brother had major laser treatment on both his eyes due to extreme short-sightedness; for the first time in 40+ years he does not need glasses and he loves it
Me, my prescription is nothing compared to his, my prescription has change by about a dioptre and it really affects my gameLast edited by DeanH; 7 March 2022, 11:33 AM.Up the TSF! :snooker:

I noticed that I was missing thin cuts back to safety when I came back to the game which I’ve remedied by wearing snooker glasses.
I can honestly say that I don’t believe I miss shots now due to my eyesight . If that was the case just like then I would missing particular shots more than others especially the longer balls.
I’m good at missing all sort of balls these days
Of course if a pro’s eyesight has gone downhill with age and he hasn’t had it corrected his game will also suffer and he will miss balls he might not have done so much previously . As this tends to happen in your 40’s I think it’s not this aspect though alone that is causing them to miss balls but other factors as well that I’ve already mentioned .

Planning to book and get new set before the end of this month.
I think I have more issues with my game than that "snooker glasses" would fixUp the TSF! :snooker:

Missed the tournament apart from the last few frames of the final and nice to see Joe win and how delighted his parents were with his dad punching the air. Nice for Judd to comment that Joe is one of the nicest players on the tour and there's probably a lot of other players that also think of Joe like that. Good luck to him for the world championship.
