Might cost a bit more but what the hell.
From what he said to Hazel after the final, it sounds like he's decided not to go ahead with the lens replacement. I used to use daily disposable contacts, they were great, but I can't see well enough to put them in anymore, which is a very annoying irony.

Here's the Award ceremony and Eurosport/TNT PMI with Zhao.

No upside from the final for him imo but each to their own.
Still a great achievement to get to the final.

I've been wearing contacts since the early 90s, they take quite a lot of getting used to, also different brands have an affect, a particular brand works perfectly for me, most other brands dont. If that was me i'd try around with different lenses brands and practice more getting them in and out before i'd subject my eyes to surgery.
I think that’s a good shout. Long time ago before I resorted to the Denis Taylor’s I tried half a dozen different types of contacts and found one that gave me pretty good eyesight. Unfortunately after using them for a few weeks I developed lots of red veins on my eye. Apparently that was because that particular lens didn’t allow the eye to breath.
It was suggested to me that the solution was to use a gas permeable lens. I didn’t pursue this as tbh I couldn’t be bothered with putting in and taking out the lens. Too fiddly for me although with practice I may have got the hang of it.
So maybe Mark should really do a bit more research into contact lenses. There will be more options around now than there was 20 years ago.

It got caught because of the selling link.

A while back, I had a chat with the techie about all the spam we were getting; he said he could see about some settings and unfortunately some posts are getting approval required. I try to do them as quickly as possible

But at least I am not having to remove 10s of spam posts every day
No problem Dean, it makes sense, happy to wait now I know what's going on. 👌
