Can Ding do what Paul Hunter did in 2004?

It was a very poor positional shot early in that frame from red to black that prevented him from winning.

He'll need a few more like that to put any pressure on. Come on Ding, give us a longer night.

What we need it for Ding to win the first frame of the session just to keep Ronnie on his toes.

I doubt we'll see an interval, i wonder if the person (cant remember their name?) had all that money on Ding?

I thought he was pretty mediocre to be honest, he pretty much gave Ding a good chance in every frame except one, the kind of chance you would expect an in-form player to take. Whether O'Sullivan has another gear in case Ding starts playing, that's another matter. Personally I think he does. But if he wins the last two frames pretty unspectacularly, it will arguably be the worst performance to win a ranking final from anyone this season...

I'm not too optimistic for tonight, in terms of getting either good standard of play or any drama, but you never know with snooker...

Still, if he reel off the first 3 frames, then who knows?

When he had his twelve month sabbatical all the experts were saying that everyone else was match sharp and he had no chance. Now everyone else is burnt out or tired.
Fact is he's always been better than the rest as far as talent goes, and now he's got the mental strength to simply relax when he plays.
Reardon didn't turn pro until he was about Ronnies age, there could be an awful lot more to come if he wants it.
Ronnie's got them all just a little bit scared, simple as that.
